Quicken & QuickBooks Integration
Independent bank offers Web Connect and Direct Connect to download account information into Quicken® desktop platform, the easiest way to organize your personal finances, or into QuickBooks® desktop or online platforms, which gives you the power to manage your business more effectively.
- No manual data entry - Once you're set up, you can download all your transactions right into Quicken® or QuickBooks® - instead of typing them in by hand.
- Automatically reconcile data - Data includes complete transaction and balance information to make categorization and account reconciliation easy.
- No duplicate transactions - A special transaction-matching algorithm is incorporated to prevent the download of duplicate transactions.
Web Connect
- Easier to use - Web Connect files may be automatically opened by Quicken® or QuickBooks® directly from the i-bank Online Banking platform, which eliminates the need for you to search for files that have been downloaded.
- Automatic account set up - Simply initiate an export to Quicken® or QuickBooks® from the i-bank Online Banking platform, and Quicken® or QuickBooks® sets up your accounts for you - with your data already up to date.
What you need to get started
First, you will need a Customer ID and Password. With Web Connect, your Customer ID and Password are the same as the ones you use to log in to i-bank's Online Banking platform. If you need to sign up for Online Banking, you may do so here.
Once you have this information, you are ready to enable your accounts in Quicken® or QuickBooks®. For assistance, please see the appropriate Getting Started Guides (see below).
Direct Connect
- Easier to use - Direct Connect files may be automatically opened from within Quicken® or QuickBooks®, which eliminates the need for you to search for files that have been downloaded.
What you need to get started
First, you will need access to Independent Bank's online banking system; your username and password. If you need to sign up for Online Banking, you may do so here. Once you are logged in, navigate to Additional Services and click on Connectivity for Quicken® and QuickBooks®. Set up a Direct Connect password.
Please note that this last step is not necessary with QuickBooks online platforms. When setting up your accounts inside those platforms, your Customer ID and Password are the same as the ones you use to log in to i-bank's Online Banking platform.
Once you have this information, you are ready to enable your accounts in Quicken® or QuickBooks® using your User ID and Direct Connect password. For assistance, please see the appropriate Getting Started Guides (see below).
