With Pay a Person, you can:

Send money to anyone with a U.S. bank account using their email or mobile number
- Money is paid available within 1-3 business days

Receive alerts when a payment is completed or funds are ready to be claimed
Plus, by using Pay a Person, you maintain your privacy and security by limiting the sharing of sensitive information.
Send money with these simple steps:

Sign on to online banking or the mobile app

Navigate to Move Money and choose Pay a Person
- Set up your Payee:
- Enter the recipient’s name, preferred email or U.S. mobile number, and nickname
- Create a keyword (don't forget to communicate this to the payee/recipient)
- Activate your Payee
- This is a one time step, but payments cannot be sent until the payee has been activated
- Select delivery method to receive an activation code
- Enter the activation code into the appropriate field and click Next
- A notification is sent to your payee with a link. By following the link, your payee will be prompted to enter the keyword and their account information.

Send payment
- Once the payee is set up, you can send and schedule payments to that person just like any other bill pay payee.
- Your recipient will get a notification explaining how to complete the payment. It’s the fast, simple and safe way to send money.
